Tin Lunch Boxes

Do you remember what lunchbox you had as a kid? Maybe some of you reading this are too young to remember the good old tin lunchboxes. Well this was mine, POLLY PAL, she was awesome! I carried some yummy stuff to school in this little tin box. My favorite sandwich, salami & swiss cheese on Mom's homemade wheat bread, Gingersnaps, and Strawberry milk in the cute little pink thermos :) Ahhh.....the good old days. Sadly my lunchbox is no longer with me. I left it on the blacktop to save my place in line on ski day (blacktop that was not normally driven on) and the pickup that took the skiis to the ski hill backed right over the top of it. Well needless to say I was devastated, and kinda still am now that I'm thinking about it all over again. I'm sorry POlly I should have been more careful :( I'm not sure if it's funny, sad, or just plain wrong, but when looking Polly Pal up online she is considered "vintage"! How depressing.

You don't even know how much I love that you got me my Holly Hobbie lunch box. That was on the top 5 presents I have ever been given. It means so much to me!

awww! I don't even remember what mine was. I soon ended up with one of those soft cooler type lunch boxes. I always had peanut butter, chips, a drink, and some sort of tasty little debbie treat or even better a homemade treat. Too bad your Polly Pal got run-over! Thats sad.

I LOVED your mom's gingersnap cookies. That makes me have great memories of being at your house.
